Description & Details
St. John’s Parish Day School is a Young 3’s through Grade 5 co-ed Elementary
School. Currently, we are seeking experienced, creative and dynamic Lower School educators with a passion for teaching! This is a full-time teaching position in our premier academic school for Grade 5 educator. This
teacher reports directly to the Assistant Head and will enjoy professional
development opportunities throughout the year as well as working with a fantastic
team.
Highlights of our program include a hands-on discovery-based curriculum with
accelerated coursework aligned with the broader National Standards. We have a
literature-based reading curriculum utilizing a variety of resources. This educator
will instruct in the areas of language arts, math, social studies, and science.
Candidates for this position should possess an undergraduate degree in early
childhood or elementary education, and have work experience in an academic
environment. Candidates with the appropriate degree(s), experience, and a desire to
teach Early Childhood or Lower School students will be ideal for this position.
Compensation and benefits are competitive with other area private schools and are
adjusted based on experience and credentials.
