About St. John’s Prep St. John’s Prep is an inclusive, Catholic, Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School for young men in grades 6 through 12. Position Overview and Responsibilities St. John’s Prep seeks an individual to support the work of the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Community Development (MACD) between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026. This ten-month role offers the opportunity to work closely with the director, be part of an innovative team, and support the design and implementation of DEI efforts. Work closely with the MACD team to support daily operation of the school’s MACD office Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of multicultural and community development initiatives serving students, parents, faculty and staff Promote a collaborative environment Provide administrative support, interact with students and families, prepare event materials Serve as MACD representative during formal and informal programming Be willing and able to seek support and guidance Some evening and weekend hours required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree Demonstrated commitment to youth development, diversity, equity and anti-racism work in school settings Ability to communicate and partner effectively with all members of the community, including students, faculty, staff, parents, and community partners Comfort with basic data gathering and analysis skills Detail oriented, motivated and comfortable working with young men in grades 6 through 12 using a strength based/student centered approach Strong time management and organizational skills Bilingual in English-Spanish preferred Physical Requirements: Standing/sitting for long periods of time. Must be capable of adapting to frequent changes in position throughout the workday. Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone. Use of hands and fingers for manipulation, and using computer keyboard, and educational tools Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. All members of the faculty are expected to give witness to the Xaverian and Catholic mission of St. John’s Preparatory School by acting as servant leaders capable of modeling and actively promoting Xaverian and Catholic values. In addition to classroom teaching responsibilities, we encourage all members of the faculty to be involved in the life of the school beyond the classroom through a wide range of co-curricular, intramural, and interscholastic programs.
