Lower School Library Assistant (Starting August 2025)
St. John’s School is seeking a talented, energetic, and knowledgeable part-time Lower School
Library Assistant who has a passion for and knowledge of children’s literature.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with the Lower School Librarian in the daily operations of this vital learning
space, ensuring its smooth organization and efficiency.
● Execute essential tasks such as processing new materials and other clerical functions as
needed.
● Collaborate with parent volunteers to help with special events and various visual displays
in the library.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
● Experience in an elementary program preferred
● Excellent computer literacy skills, including proficiency in the Google suite
● Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment and a commitment to developing
one’s own cultural competency in a community that celebrates and appreciates diversity.
