Position Summary : (Italic)
The Driver is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all residents, their guests, volunteers, St. John’s employees, to and from their appointments and / or events, safely, courteously and reliably.
Responsibilities include :
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections
- Maintain clean vehicles.
- Transport passengers for appointments, safely, courteously and reliably.
- Assist passengers in and out of vehicles as needed.
- Relay any information that assists dispatch with daily schedules.
- Record times and mileages for all trips on a daily basis.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings.
- Some weekend and evening work may be required, may need to work other hours than normally assigned or after normal end shift, and / or may be assigned to another shift as needed.
- Arrive on time, prepared to work.
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all residents, guests, volunteers, employees.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and possess ability to navigate within the Greater Rochester area.
- Obey New York State Traffic laws at all times.
