Department/Group: School Cafeteria Position Type: Hourly, Part-Time
Time: approx. 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Hours: 27-29 hours per week
Monday thru Friday during the school year; when school is in session. 180 days plus 2-3 day before/after school begins and end.
Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities:
Cooking and serving meals on a daily basis.
Proper clean-up before, during and after lunches, both kitchen and cafeteria (Daily).
Performing an physical inventory
Responsible for putting away shipments and rotating food.
Ensuring the Production records are completed daily
Responsible for bringing in food from outside freezer to inside freezer daily
Disinfecting tables, chairs and milk cooler weekly
Ensure all necessary training is completed prior to the start of school (10 hours)
Ensuring all dishes are done. (Daily)
Ensure proper serving guidelines are followed
Follows approved food safety procedures.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must be able to lift and/or carry heavy boxes (at least 60 pounds) Non-negotiable
Must be able to navigate stairs
Must be flexible and adaptable.
Must be dependable.
Must have good communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Likes to be around school aged children
Additional Notes:
This is a one year employee agreement. (This will be reviewed at the end of the agreement)
