Job Overview
The position anticipates 6-7 hours/day throughout a school week. Start time would be 10 am through and until the end of the afterschool program (around 5 PM).
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Aide to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to assist in the daily operations of the classroom, ensuring that all students receive the attention and resources they need to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and autism, by providing individualized attention.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Facilitate communication between students and staff to encourage engagement and participation.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs.
- Assist with basic math instruction and reinforce concepts taught in class.
- Participate in planning activities that promote social skills and emotional development.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Skills
- Experience working with children, particularly in educational or daycare settings.
