The Director of Advancement role is a leadership position focused on developing fundraising strategies, donor and alumni relations, as well as strategic planning to support the school's mission. This role also focuses on growing the school's Planned Giving program. This position reports to the school president and is part of the President's Leadership Team.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises the Major Giving Officer, Director of Events, Alumni Relations Coordinator, and Advancement Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Leadership
•
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual fund, scholarships, special events, annual auction and planned giving initiatives
•
Develop and maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, including relationship building, soliciting and stewarding
•
Assist with Advancement Department budgets
Alumni Relations
•
Oversee alumni engagement programs, including events, communications, and cultivation of potential donors
Strategic Planning
•
Collaborate with the school's leadership and board to align advancement goals with the institution's mission and long-term objectives; this includes working as the school liaison with the Advancement Committee Chair
Qualifications:
•
A strong commitment to Catholic education and the Marianist mission
•
3 years experience in fundraising, donor relations, and strategic planning
•
Bachelor's degree
•
Leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate with school administration and board members
•
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with donors, alumni, and the community
