St. Johns Bank is look for an experienced Lead Teller at our St. Johns location. The Lead Teller supports the Branch Manager to ensure branch operational activities run smoothly and efficiently. Responsible for day-to-day oversight of the teller line, opens new accounts, and builds customer relationships by promoting the Bank's products and services. The Lead Teller should be knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of teller activities, account titling, safe deposit, personal banking, branch operations, and banking compliance regulations. Provides leadership, mentoring and support to other staff members.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or a minimum 2 years Teller experience, including 1 year at a supervisory level, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Work experience should include heavy cash handling
- Working knowledge of teller procedures, equipment and resources
- Intermediate knowledge of retail banking branch operations
- Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations
- Intermediate PC skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook; Jack Henry and XP Teller System a plus
- Basic supervisory skills
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties
- Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities
