St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Compensation Analyst for our well established Human Resources Department whose headquarters are located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.St. Johns County residents enjoy a healthy quality of life with many perks including one of the top-rated public-school systems in the State of Florida, miles of beach shoreline, peaceful estuary scenery of the St. Johns River, long established agriculture and equestrian scene, and the nation’s oldest city, historic St. Augustine. In 2019 St. Johns County was ranked the 10th fastest growing county in the United States showcasing that there is truly something for everyone in St. Johns County!The St. Johns County Human Resources Department is responsible for developing strategic partnerships and collaboration to attract, develop and retain a high performing workforce and promote a healthy, safe and productive work environment for its employees, departments, community partners and the public with the intent to position St Johns County as an employer of choice.The newly selected Compensation Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of St. Johns County’s Classification and Compensation structures.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The ideal Compensation Analyst candidate must possess St. Johns County’s core values of compassion, innovation, and trustworthiness and must work well in a collaborative team environment. Some of the specific tasks include but are not limited to: Maintaining the classification system to include: assessing jobs and their respective duties to develop job descriptions, determine exemption status and appropriate salary range.Maintains and updates St John’s County pay plan, employee progression, advancement and incentive pay requirements.Assists and conducts benchmark studies against market survey data, responds to compensation survey requests, and utilizes data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.Develops performance management merit tools and processes employee pay and merit increases.Responsible for upkeep and management of position control, develops several analytical reports and workforce statistics.Process compensation actions in NEOGOV, Workday, and/or other related ERP systems.Special projects related to compensation changes as assigned.Utilize Microsoft products and applications effectively to support cross-functional collaboration.
