What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Assistant Principal Secretary position at St. Johns High School?
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience as an Admin Assistant preferred
- Knowledge in Google and Microsoft products or willingness to be trained
- Integrity and professionalism
- Ability to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse student population
- Ability to collect and analyze data
- Ability and willingness to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, teachers, parents, administrators and staff
Reports to: High School Assistant Principal
Responsibilities:
Secretarial
- Receives phone calls, greets visitors, responds to questions, records and routes messages, sets up appointments for the Assistant Principal.
- Prepares correspondence, notices, and bulletins; and assists in the preparation of necessary state and local reports.
- Organizes and maintains school procurement files as required.
- Makes travel arrangements for sports teams, student clubs, and administration
- Assists in student registration.
- Assists the Athletic Director in any administrative duties.
- Performs any other related duties as required.
Accounts Payable
- Works closely with the Business Manager at the district in all things finances.
- Works with Admin to make requisitions, purchase orders, and purchases.
- Responsible for writing checks, balancing accounts, and other financial duties.
- Orders office supplies, school equipment, textbooks, athletic equipment, and jerseys.
- Balances checkbook monthly.
- Assists in maintaining social media accounts for high school and athletics.
- Assists district with yearly audits.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Other Duties
- Performs other duties as assigned by school administration.
Terms of Employment: full-time - 40 hours a week, 12 months. Salary established by the Governing Board. Employee benefits in accordance with district policies.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Governing Board policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
Salary : $17 - $20
