Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Golf Professional / Assistant Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pro shop, golf operations, and instruction with the ability to engage and inspire players of all skill levels.
PGA credentials are welcome but not required to apply. While hours, responsibilities and pay will vary based on the ability, experience and responsibilities of the candidate applying, professionalism and the desire to do a job well is essential.
Responsibilities
- Daily Pro Shop operations. Accurately operate a computerized point of sale / tee sheet software (Lightspeed) and manage day to day reports, deposits, open and closing when applicable.
- Responsible for opening and/or closing and securing the pro shop and golf areas using established procedures. Fielding tee time requests, checking in golfers, handlng merchandise and range ball sales and maintaining a clean and professional pro shop are daily responsibilities.
- Communicating and coordination with outside staff.
- Supporting golf tournaments and club leagues.
- Ensure that you are providing a friendly, professional and courteous level of customer service and communication with guests and staff.
- Good organizational skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems and efficient use of down time is important. As a semi private golf club our goal is to provide the best golf experience we can within our budget.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Golf Instruction Requirements
- Demonistrated experience in providing golf instruction / clinics to players of all skill levels.
This is a hands on position. A flexible schedule that balances operational responsibilities and teaching can be discussed based on each candidates focus and facility needs.
