Position: Business Manager (Part-Time, 20-29 hours per week)

Overview:
St. Joseph Catholic Church is seeking a dedicated and responsible Business Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the parish. This position is part-time, offering flexible hours, and requires a commitment to supporting the mission and ministry of the Church. The Business Manager will work closely with the Pastor, Finance Council, and other parish staff to ensure the efficient management of parish finances and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee and manage the parish’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and present monthly business reports to the Pastor and Finance Council, providing clear and concise financial updates.
- Manage and maintain the parish’s budget, making recommendations for financial planning and resource allocation.
- Oversee regular payroll
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including paying bills, receiving payments, and tracking income and expenses.
- Coordination with Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Pastor and Finance Council to ensure alignment of financial practices with the parish’s mission and goals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports as needed for audits, budget planning, and other financial planning purposes.
- Administrative Duties:
- Ensure all financial records are maintained in an organized and timely manner, keeping all necessary documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Support fundraising efforts, tracking donations, and preparing reports related to campaigns or special initiatives.
- Commitment to the Mission:
- Actively support the mission of the parish, demonstrating a deep understanding of the Catholic faith and values in all business and financial practices.
- Foster a sense of stewardship and responsibility among parishioners regarding financial contributions to the parish.
- A strong background in business, accounting, or financial management.
- Experience in managing budgets and financial records, preferably in a nonprofit or religious organization.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software (ParishSoft, Excel, etc.) and parish financial systems.
- A commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
- Part-time (20-29 hours per week).
