Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Youth Ministry (Middle School & High School):
- Lead and coordinate youth ministry programs for middle school and high school students, including regular youth group meetings, retreats, and social events.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and volunteers to increase our parish outreach to middle school and high school students
- Confirmation Preparation:
- Work with the Pastoral Associate for Formation to ensure candidates for confirmation have a living relationship with the Holy Spirit
- Spiritual Equipping for Teachers, Staff, and Catechists:
- Develop and lead spiritual equipping opportunities for teachers, staff, and catechists to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly focusing on Life in the Spirit.
- Provide ongoing formation and training for catechists to effectively teach and engage students in religious education.
- Evangelization and Outreach:
- Actively participate in and support the church's evangelization efforts, particularly through the soup kitchen, clothes closet, and other community outreach programs.
- Develop strategies to engage the broader community and invite individuals to experience the mission and ministry of the church.
- Other Duties as Assigned by Pastor
- A strong commitment to the Catholic faith and the mission of the Church.
- Previous experience in youth ministry, religious education, or a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of Catholic teachings, the sacramental life, and spiritual formation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of individuals, including youth, volunteers, and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and parishioners.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
- This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate ministry events and programming.
- Background check and safe environment training required.
