Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our landscapes, ensuring that all grounds are kept in excellent condition. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work, as well as the ability to operate various hand and power tools effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to maintain gardens and landscaped areas.
- Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to promote healthy growth.
- Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees while ensuring proper care and maintenance.
- Clear debris from walkways, gardens, and other outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Monitor the health of plants and grass, applying fertilizers or pesticides when necessary.
- Assist with seasonal landscaping projects such as mulching or snow removal.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all groundskeeping tasks are completed efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping work.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques and plant care best practices is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
- A valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles on-site.
