Job Details

  • Pharmacists at St. Joseph Hospital operate in both the clinical and central pharmacy settings.
  • Pharmacists act as the daily managers in the pharmacy, ensuring all work is done in a concise, timely and accurate manner.
  • Responsible for supervising and verifying all technical work.
  • Emphasis on working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Ensures the safe and effective use of medication by providing medication order verification.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate level degree
  • State of Maine Pharmacy License
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills required
  • Must be a self starter with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

    • Additional Details

  • Traveler must reside outside the state of Maine
  • Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
  • St. Joseph's can cancel up to 3 shifts per 13 week contract
