Summer Camp Assistant
St. Joseph Home is thrilled to offer a unique Summer Camp experience designed for individuals with developmental disabilities. Tailored for students in grades 6 through 12, our program provides a blend of recreation, education, and connection in a safe and supportive environment. We are seeking a dedicated Summer Camp Assistant to help facilitate this rewarding experience.

Program Overview:
Our summer camp offers three two-week sessions that include exciting activities such as:
- Recreation & Leisure: Creative, relaxing, and social activities designed to inspire and engage participants.
- Educational Field Trips: Visits to museums, the zoo, and other fun destinations.
- Therapeutic Swimming: Adaptive swimming in a therapeutic pool.
- Library Story Time: Interactive story sessions led by the Cincinnati Public Library.
- Hikes with Luke5Adventures: Guided hikes, supported by adaptive equipment, to ensure accessibility for all.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in facilitating summer camp activities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Support field trips to local attractions, ensuring participants' safety and enjoyment.
- Work closely with the Summer Camp Manager and other staff to provide a fun and educational experience.
- Help ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during recreational activities.
- Provide support as needed, maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Age: High school students aged 16-18 are eligible to apply.
- Skills/Abilities:
- Passion for working with individuals with disabilities.
- Team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with campers and staff.
- Compensation:
- Starting hourly rate: $15.50
- Lifeguard certification (if applicable) will earn an additional hourly rate.
