Job Summary
The Dietary Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the dietary department within an assisted living facility. Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate dietary needs and preferences.
- Develop and manage individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Supervise and provide leadership to dietary staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Oversee meal planning, preparation, and service to ensure nutritional adequacy and safety.
- Implement health coaching strategies to educate residents about healthy eating habits.
- Manage budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations related to residents' dietary requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary services and resident interactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietetics or a related field, preferably in an assisted living or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and care plan development.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff members.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes within a dietary context.
- Certification or degree in Dietetics or Nutrition is preferred.
