Day Shift – Full Time Position

Job Description

St. Joseph Residence is a not-for-profit corporation founded by the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph, owned and operated by Catholic Health International. We are a continuing care campus offering an array of services and settings including independent apartments, CBRF, RCAC, and a skilled nursing facility. Compassionate care is delivered in a faith-based environment, emphasizing independence, respect, and dignity.

Responsibilities Include:

· Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms and common areas of the facilities

· Sweep, mop, vacuum floors

· Shampoo furniture and carpets

· Dust, polish and sanitize furniture and fixtures

· Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables

· Safely mix and use cleaning solutions

· Label and remove infectious waste bags and containers

· Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all time

· Transition rooms for existing and new residents including preparing and organizing furniture

· Assist with laundry services including washing, drying, folding and distribution of clothing

· Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the organization’s Code of Conduct, Policies, Procedures, applicable federal and state laws and applicable professional standards

· Attends departmental and staff meetings as directed

· Performs other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

· Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job

· Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff

· Knowledge of infection control techniques

· Ability to be patient and polite

· Must be punctual and have a good attendance history

Employment Type

Full-Time position available – 72 hours in a pay period - Scheduled hours 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Works every other weekend and every other holiday

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

Week 2 – Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
