Home Base Location: Malone Outpatient Clinic (Malone, NY) / Hybrid

Position: Full-time Clinical Services Supervisor

Shift/schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay Range: $67,000.00/year to $100,000.00/year

Education and Training:

  • Master’s degree in social work or mental health from an accredited school.
  • Experience working with mental health and substance use population.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred

Qualifications and Requirements:
Licensed Clinician: LMHC, LMSW or LCSW Preferred

Position Summary: The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a client caseload in which they identify goals and objectives to help improve emotional, social and daily functioning. This position is also responsible for identifying the treatment needs of their supervisee’s (the clinic’s team leads) clients and making sure they are being met in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and state and federal guidelines and regulations. They are responsible for managing the successful execution of the Agency’s policies, procedures, practices, standards and program-based systems within their clinical team. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor will be involved in the Certified Community Behavioral Health activities.

Essential Duties:

  • Complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial history assessment that includes the client’s problems and strengths and preferences, including cultural, religious, and ethnic background.
  • Responsible for the provision of admit notes that clearly articulates medical necessity for outpatient mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring treatment.
  • Responsible for the initiation of a comprehensive treatment plan.
  • Responsible for assisting clients in creating and maintaining treatment plans every 90 days.
  • Orients residents and families to the facility, its services, its service limitations and residents' rights.
  • Involves residents and families in care planning, encouraging their attendance at care conferences.
  • Completes mandatory documentation on EHR within timelines established by applicable regulations.
  • Empowers clients and encourages client’s choice in matters affecting them, demonstrating receptive attitudes and sensitivity to choices based on racial, cultural, and ethnic heritage, and sexual orientation.
  • Provides linkage with appropriate community resources by maintaining knowledge of other systems, making referrals and identifying unmet needs (e.g., recreational transportation, adaptive phone equipment, etc.)
  • Provides clients and families with crisis management services.
  • Develops a comprehensive discharge plan in collaboration with clients, clients’ families, multidisciplinary staff, and referral agencies.
  • Provide individual, group and/or family counseling for mental health and/or substance use.
  • Ability to collaborate with other local agencies (DSS, Probation, Drug Court).
  • Complete urine drug screens on clients.
  • Accommodate any walk-in assessments and/or crisis’s during business hours, if schedule allows.
  • Monitoring supervisee’s adherence to OASAS regulations (to include but not limited to PAS26. 44, 45) and procedures; and ensuring compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Train clinical staff as needed in EMR, required paperwork/documentation, etc.
  • Provide clinical supervision to supervisees on a weekly/bi-weekly basis (based on licensure requirements, needs, and experience), when licensed. Clinical supervision should include activities such as case review and discussion of treatment plans. There should be one-hour group meetings weekly to perform these duties.
  • Provide coverage for cases when supervisees are on vacation or otherwise unavailable on short notice 20. Create and implement goals for each supervisee.
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with SAMHSA CCBHC Expansion grant requirements.
  • Performs all other duties as necessary for the good of the clinic/agency, as instructed by the Director.

Job Type: Full-time
