Position Summary

Oversees operations of the medical practice., including working with managers and staff at assigned practice sights. Stays abreast of all State and Federal rules & regulations, as they relate to the clinical and administrative segments of the practice. Functions as Medical Group Management liaison to the St. Joseph/Candler Medical Group Practices. Responsibilities include oversight of practice operations, management staff, analysis of account receivable practices at multiple locations, attendance at site staff meeting, monthly financial review with managers.

Core Job Functions
- Works closely with MGM Administration and managers in developing budgets following MGM strategic plan. Coordinates budget process following Finance Department guidelines and budget calendar.
- Complete evaluations on time, maintain retention, meet or exceed unit established nationally certified certification, and reach annual assessments according to standards.
- Reviews complaints and addresses as appropriate. Offers in house counsel. Works with HR on workers' compensation issues and reported complaints.
- Manage fiscal resources. Obtain acceptance and support for programs. Demonstrate leadership. Manage human resources. Facilitate partnerships in support of programs.
- Participates actively as a team leader and provides leadership to the department in the absence of the Director. Provides leadership to credentialing coordinators, network coordinator and demonstrates expertise in all aspects of software, managed care claims and payment systems including completion of administrative tasks timely.
- Assists managers in researching budgetary variances in supplies and labor. Corrective action plans are developed collaboratively with managers for unfavorable variances. Bi-annual inventory adjustments are researched and corrective action plan developed for unfavorable variance.
