Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Operations Manager, is directly responsible for the operational effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle Division by managing strategic initiatives that improve overall reimbursement, collections, billing and claims, workflow processes, organizational structure, staffing decisions, and other Revenue Cycle specific initiatives. The Revenue Cycle Operations Manager will make presentations to SJCHS Leadership, assist with strategy development and deployment, analyze workflow processes, manage and track detailed action steps needed to complete strategic initiatives, manage and estimate operational budgets, and assist in the creation of divisional metrics, reports, and dashboards for tracking success. This position will directly oversee the Revenue Cycle Analytics team and provide coaching and mentoring that ensures all initiatives are managed well. The Manager will communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to internal stakeholders involved in continuous improvement processes that affect the Revenue Cycle Division as well as the SJCHS financials. This position will report directly to the Director, Patient Pre-Services and Analytics.

Core Job Functions
- Leads value stream analysis and continuous improvements operationally within the Revenue Cycle Division and across SJCHS system-wide entities. Acts as a change agent throughout SJCHS.
- Provides oversight, direction, and knowledge to internal teams in the initiation, assessment, and execution of strategic initiatives in the Revenue Cycle Division and throughout SJCHS.
- Assists Revenue Cycle leadership, including the VP, with budget preparation, capital requests, and other budgetary needs as they are identified and assigned.
- Assists in the formation, edit, and review of contracts and agreements for operational vendors, strategic initiatives, potential acquisitions, and other revenue cycle operational endeavors as needed.
- Make presentations to Revenue Cycle Management, Sr. SJCHS Leadership, cross-functional teams throughout SJCHS, and other internal stakeholders. Facilitates meetings, prepares data, develops decision documents, and runs reports to assist with planning efforts.
