Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Manager of the unit, the Robotic Coordinator is responsible for robotic management and operations of to include all aspects of surgical robotic systems. Facilitating and Manage robotic surgery schedule coordinating with OR Navigators. Ensures smooth throughput and completion of scheduled and add on robotic procedures. Displays leadership ability and collaborative skills in conjunction with health care teams, staffing and patient flow/scheduling as a charge agent. Order and maintain inventory of instruments, accessories, ancillary supplies related to robotic surgery. Develop, motivate, assess, and negotiate as a charge agent in an effort to enhance organizational effectiveness. Point person for any da Vinci related questions (system or clinical). Conduct da Vinci system training via the Interactive Training Tool. Basic knowledge of data collection, research protocols, etc. Utilizes the nursing process to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients based on current standards of practice of surgical procedures and anatomy as it relates to robotic surgery: Urology; Gynecology; Thoracic; General Surgery. Understanding of surgical terminology, equipment, materials, and policies/procedures and fundamental methods relating to robotic surgery. Functions within the permissible scope of nursing practice as defined by the Georgia Board of Nursing and St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System policies and procedures.
