Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides services to assigned ICF residents and serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Provides evaluation and rehabilitative treatment, consultative screening and assists with the development and implementation of appropriate therapy programming within the scope of occupational therapy services
- Evaluates assigned outpatients, provides an assessment, develops a reasonable and necessary plan of care and sets goals and provides appropriate treatment in order to achieve functional, measurable and objective outcomes that improve client functional abilities that fall within the scope of practice of an occupational therapist.
- Provides services to assigned Early Intervention clients, meets the annual education and training required to ensure appropriate treatment, documentation and communication in coordination with the guidance of the Director of the Early Intervention program.
- Prepares timely, accurate, complete and legible documentation to support occupational therapy services rendered in accordance to all regulatory guidelines governing the practice of occupational therapy.
- Provides educational in service training that falls under the scope of practice of an occupational therapist to clients, family and staff as needed.
- Submits productivity report to the administrative assistant on a daily basis.
- Coordinates client scheduling and communicates any changes (cancellations, make ups, no shows, substitutions, staff, PTO, etc.) with clerical staff within the same day of service.
- Consults with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, health care providers and client family members as needed.
- Acts as a clinical supervisor of support staff, graduate occupational therapists, occupational therapy students and volunteers as assigned.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, professional affiliations and other activities designed for such purposes.
- Maintains confidentiality within the guidelines of HIPAA compliance.
- Adheres to compliance guidelines with regard to healthcare provider fraud, waste and abuse.
- Assists the Clinical Director by providing necessary information for the completion of requested therapy department reports.
- Maintains equipment needs and supply inventories when appropriate.
- Attends/participates in department director meetings and in service meetings.
- Performs appropriate treatments and activities in a cost effective manner.
- Participates in quality improvement and provides input to the Clinical Director recommending areas of change.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship with coworkers and supervisors and creates an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust within the facility.
- Is flexible to changes in duties, priorities, methods and environments.
- Comes to work as scheduled and is punctual.

Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist program
- Current O.T. Certification with the “National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy”
- Must hold/be eligible for a current license by the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy
- Community CPR certification
- Experience preferred/not required
- Valid PA Driver’s License
