What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Manager/CLA Full Time 2nd shift -3 p.m. - 11 p.m. position at St. Joseph's Center?
The primary function of this position is to manage a shift across 6 community homes, develop schedules for their assigned homes/shift, and assist with monitoring all of the documentation required within the program.
Supervises the activities of the Direct Support Professionals.
Assists Program Specialists in orientation of new employees and ongoing staff development.
Assures that adequate staff ratios are in place by completing shift schedules in assigned homes, cross training employees, and assist in the management of employee absences. Will provide coverage for a 2 hour break should an employee be mandated.
Will participate in the Medication Training process by becoming a Medication Administration Trainer, managing the medication systems within the homes by monitoring cycle drugs, medication expiration dates, documentation errors on med logs and completing medication practicums/observations with staff.
Assists in the development of program plans and be an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
Ensures that a safe environment is provided and maintain program materials and equipment and notifies Program Specialist of any needs in this area.
Shares with the Program Specialists positive observations of the employees that they supervise, as well as advises the Program Specialists about any employee issues/concerns.
Assists in communicating directives from administration and to ensure that the DSPs have a good awareness of these directives as well as to provide for a process of team work among the direct service professionals
Manage and support the processes required for implementation of all medical appointments of the clients.
Assists in interviewing and onboarding of all new Direct Support Professionals.
Monitor and train DSP on Shift Responsibilities and update as needed.
Assists employees with accessing STJ emails and MITC. Is responsible to manage the data on pin readers located at CLA homes.
Completes Supervisor Responsibilities, as assigned by shift, as required.
Will act as a Point Person for all Reportable Incidents, and utilize web-based incident management reporting systems.
Participates in in-service training as required by ODP QA&I Process and Regulations and attend staff meetings.
Implements mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of St. Joseph’s Center.
Maintains a cooperative relationship with coworkers and supervisors and creates an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust within the facility.
