Role Description
This is a full-time Lead Nurse role at St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center's Outpatient Clinic in Rochester, NY. The Lead Nurse is responsible for the management and the provision of nursing services. The Lead Nurse oversees the day-to-day delivery of health care in a manner that assures consistent, quality care for patients. They are responsible for assessing, planning, organizing and monitoring the services and resources needed to operate effectively and efficiently in the nursing department.
Work Hours
Typically, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, occasional evenings and rare weekend hours required.
Qualifications
- BSN degree with current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Two to five years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified OR ability to demonstrate strong clinical assessment and coordination skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor nursing staff members, volunteer nurses, and student nurses
- Ability to work effectively with patients and families of all age groups, racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds, diverse gender identities & expressions, and sexual orientations
- Ability to provide integrated care by collaborating with other departments including mental health and care management
- Ability to coordinate clinic workflow including preparing visits, ensuring timely patient rooming and delegating tasks to volunteers appropriately
- Basic laboratory skills including phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Ability to assist with patient examinations and minor procedures as needed
- Ability to flex schedule to coordinate with other nursing staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in community health or working with uninsured populations is a plus
Salary : $60,611 - $92,976
