Reporting directly to the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (VP/CIO), the Executive Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the VP/CIO and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the CIO in addition to playing a crucial role in supporting the VP/CIO’s executive staff; Information Technology Services (ITS) Directors and the ITS Staff as needed by performing a variety of tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Support VP/CIO and VP/CIO’s Direct Reports including supporting the hiring process for all Information Technology positions.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands.
- Proactive and intuitive in terms of the VP/CIO’s needs.
- Maintains the VP/CIO calendar, including the coordination of meetings and events.
- Ensure the day-to-day building management needs & operations of the Information Technology Building.
- Take and transcribe minutes of management meetings; distribute agendas, minutes, and other materials to attendees.
- Provide vital support for a variety of ITS projects from initial research to project completion.
- Assist in managing security awareness and phishing programs by developing training materials, coordinating simulations, and analyzing results to enhance organizational cybersecurity preparedness.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work with a broad range of people including staff, faculty, outside vendors, President’s Cabinet, colleagues, etc.
- Excellent communication skills; speaking, writing, editing, grammatical, organizational, and research skills.
- Team player.
- Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Spark, Hootsuite, Later, etc.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Preferred – overall understanding of social media and able to post through third party apps.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a minimum of three years’ experience providing
executive level support.
Salary Range $50,000 - $56,000
