Saint Joseph Grade School, a two-time National Blue Ribbon School, is the educational ministry of Saint Joseph Parish, a vibrant faith community of over 900 families in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, founded and stewarded by the Congregation of Holy Cross. SJGS serves over 475 students in preschool through 8th grade, with a mission of educating hearts and minds in the Holy Cross tradition, making God known, loved, and served.
SJGS is seeking a full-time second grade teacher beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. Duties include designing, planning, implementing, and managing curriculum & instruction; assessing and communicating learning results; developing and maintaining a positive learning environment; facilitating Catholic faith formation, including preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion; and participating in professional growth and development. Candidates must be able to fulfill all teaching description requirements of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. The successful candidate will have an Indiana teaching license and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to partnering with teachers, staff, and families in fulfilling the school’s mission and providing a Catholic education of the highest quality.
