Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master’s degree in social work, psychology or closely related field, Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Licensure required as a Social Worker as required by the State of New Jersey. Work requires the ability to prepare detailed assessments of patient referrals, counseling individual, group or family members, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill. Proficiency of Microsoft Office.
ACCESS program only: Valid driver’s license required, as well as compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle as well as all policies as outlined in the SJHS Fleet Management & Safety Program. Ability to communicate fluently in American Sign Language, familiarity with Deaf Culture and be knowledgeable about current technology in use for individuals with hearing loss.
