Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Software Engineer IV to oversee the design, development, and implementation of distributed, multi-tier software applications across our enterprise platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of multiple web application integration points, interdependencies, and standard data exchange and control protocols. You will take ownership of deliverables from conception through deployment, including setting up environments and documenting release notes, technical details, functionality, and configuration.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Software Engineer IV to oversee the design, development, and implementation of distributed, multi-tier software applications across our enterprise platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of multiple web application integration points, interdependencies, and standard data exchange and control protocols. You will take ownership of deliverables from conception through deployment, including setting up environments and documenting release notes, technical details, functionality, and configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of distributed, multi-tier software applications.
- Understand and manage multiple web application integration points, interdependencies, and standard data exchange and control protocols.
- Take ownership of deliverables from conception through deployment.
- Set up environments and document release notes, technical details, functionality, and configuration.
- Stay current with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the web development field.
- Work with J2EE (Java, JSP, JDBC, and frameworks), UI/UX technologies, JavaScript frameworks, Web Services (REST, SOAP), Containerization (Docker, OpenShift), and internet protocols.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and other technologies necessary for web development.
- Extensive experience with third-party databases, libraries, interfaces, and internet protocols.
- Strong understanding of Internet software engineering principles and techniques.
- Proficiency with web infrastructure including web servers, application servers, and containerization.
- In-depth knowledge of J2EE (Java, JSP, JDBC, and frameworks), UI/UX technologies, JavaScript frameworks, and Web Services (REST, SOAP).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of Internet hardware, software, and firewall setup.
- Understanding of multi-threaded programming, transaction isolation strategies, and deadlock avoidance.
- Familiarity with caching strategies and J2EE framework challenges.
- Experience with Content Management/Content Delivery, Social Media Integrations, and Digital Wallet/Online Payment Technologies.
- Ability to articulate both marketing and IT needs/issues to all groups.
- Good knowledge of Digital Marketing techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with team members and business users.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- At least 10 years of technical, analytical, systems, and programming experience.
- Senior developer experience with Java, Python, React, Tailwind, NextJS, Adobe Experience Manager, and Swift.
- AI development experience is a plus.
- Experience using Terraform on AWS.
- Experience developing experiences for virtual events in AR/VR (8th Wall, Meta, Apple).
- Experience in media development using technologies such as Unity and Blender.
- Experience developing web technologies that integrate with social media and streaming platforms.
- A Master’s degree and 2 years of lead experience preferred.
