Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities:
- Perform physical examinations and assessments of patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, and catheter insertion
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in Louisiana
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with neonatal ventilators, critical care, pediatrics, and spinal tap procedures
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Shift: Monday - Friday 3p-11p
