Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor/ Charge Nurse to join our team. As a RN Supervisor/ Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, working closely with the Director of Nursing, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is a vital role in our healthcare facility, and we are looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, and knowledgeable in providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their overall well-being
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain infection control measures to ensure a safe environment
- Assist with training and mentoring new nursing staff members
Shift: Monday - Friday (8 Hours)
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in Louisiana
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of assisted living, aliment, venipuncture, Epic, ICD-10, dialysis, working with people with developmental disabilities, and infection control protocols
- Strong clinical skills, including experience administering injections
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
