SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for comprehensive training programs; conducts compliance audits, inspections and reviews.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Conducts training to ensure compliance with the Division of Family Services mandated policies; documents training and attendance; monitors training hours and provides reporting on staff hours and attainment of requirements.
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
- Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Selects and conducts training sessions utilizing a variety of methods (e.g., classroom setting, online and/or webinars); selects and utilizes appropriate methodology based upon subject matter and audience.
- Maintains training course catalogs and annual training calendar; updates as required.
- Collaborates with outside consultants and training providers to deliver training.
- Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks.
- Assists with the management and administration of the organization’s safety program.
- Assists with Human Resource’s tasks when available.
- Represents the organization with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff and the public.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; and/or four (4) years of professional adult training experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of training program administration.
- Principles and practices of adult education.
- Administrative principles and practices, including goal setting, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Planning and assessments of training programs.
- Applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Principles and techniques of preparing effective written informational or educational materials.
- Test administration and computer applications related to the work.
- Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Techniques for working with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Skill in:
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed.
- Organizing own work, setting priorities, and meeting critical deadlines.
- Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
- Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
- Communicating effectively in oral and written forms.
- Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Nevada driver’s license.
- CPR and First Aid certification within six (6) months of date of employment.
