Job Title: VIP Relationship Manager
Department: Development
Reports To: Director of Direct Response Fundraising
FLSA Status: Nonexempt – 12 month position
Salary Grade: 8B ($20.37- $23.95-$27.50)/hr.

SUMMARY
The focus of this position is to develop and manage a sizable portfolio of mid-level giving donors by stewarding, cultivating, and deepening relationships with individuals, couples, and families who partner with St. Labre.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
Enrich donor relationships by communicating, stewarding, cultivating, and assisting donors to deepen their partnership with St. Labre.
Facilitates gifts from mid-level giving donors. There may be times when making a financial ask is necessary. Ensures assigned donor gifts are properly processed and acknowledged.
Executes program strategy through phone, email, and mail communications with donors and internal staff.
Updates the database with progress and outcome notes and key donor information.
Learns about St. Labre programs, services and initiatives to effectively communicate the mission and vision and financial need to donors.
Conducts themselves in a professional, friendly, and truthful manner to donors.
Listens for key indicators that a mid-level donor should be referred to the major and/or planned giving department.
Conducts donor research to identify and promote the hand-off of high-capacity donors to the appropriate development officer/director.
Manages a portfolio of 400-600 donors.
Works with Program Consultant (Veritus Group) for hands-on training on best practices and individual donor strategy and moves.
Becomes familiar with other giving vehicles (i.e. IRA rollovers, donor advised funds, stock transfers, etc.)
Receives ongoing education to maintain and improve skills.
At all times maintains the confidentiality of program participants and shares information internally as appropriate.
Strives to continually improve the results and effectiveness of the mid-level relationship program.
Identify each donor’s interests and document accordingly.
Provide the highest level of service and care to their assigned portfolio of donors
- Assists other Development department areas when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree preferred, or high school diploma with 2 years of relevant customer service experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of, or the ability to learn the following computer programs:
- Excel
- Word
- Google Suite
- Windows Explorer
- Database entry and reporting skills
Communicate on an advanced level - oral and written.
Exhibit strong phone skills, for example, warm tone, good speaking cadence, clear and articulate speech.
Must have problem-solving and reasoning skills.
Demonstrate ability in building relationships with donors and internal stakeholders.
Ability to start conversations with strangers, ask questions and be authentic.
Must be able to work effectively with different types of people and personalities.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
Willingness to work overtime, if needed, holidays and weekends.
