Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Clerk
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Director
FLSA Status: Nonexempt – 12 month position
Salary Grade: 4B ($13.44-$15.47-$17.49)/hr.

SUMMARY
Performs data entry in relationship to department preventative maintenance program, receives, computerized work orders for facility repairs, logs and generates hard copies. Possess good to excellent skills in computer based environment. Records, stores, and distributes supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and parts with in warehouse by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
Receives all incoming freight, verifying the quantities are correct and noting of any damage to any item(s) received before signing the bill of lading.
Reads work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas by using pallet jack or forklift.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to workers.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed, ensures all merchandise is accounted for.
Uses computer program to enter and track records of all incoming/outgoing items, inputting/deleting of new/outdated items, price of items, reorder number of items, and vendors. Maintains inventory on a daily and monthly basis.
Orders warehouse stock items and specialty items for other departments.
Prepares parcels for mailing. Maintains inventory records.
Keeps warehouse clean and in orderly condition, items are categorized by hazardous material, dry storage, and liquid storage.
Maintains forklift to ensure operational.
Responsible for the monthly charge out reports.
Prohibits unauthorized personnel from entering warehouse. Safe guards all merchandise and inventory. Remains in warehouse at all times during working hours.
Ships out any item(s) for the departments by the most cost efficient source, after getting the return authorization numbers beforehand.
Maintains MSDS book for all materials received and/or warehoused.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to six months related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of tools, and good to excellent computer skills.
Ability to comprehend, understand, and work with various types of software applications
Ability to read and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to delivery drivers, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to be reasonable, flexible and willing to adapt to a changing environment.
Ability to work temporarily performing other duties.
Ability to operate forklift.
Strong telephone and interpersonal/customer service skills.

Valid Montana driver's license.
Forklift Certification.
