Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at ST LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY. The successful candidate will apply accounting principles to complete daily, monthly, and yearly accounting tasks.
About the Position
- The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and work collaboratively with other departments across campus to ensure GAAP Compliance.
- Responsibilities include preparing, processing, and analyzing monthly and year-end accounting entries, bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, and administering non-student accounts receivable or loans receivable.
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and 2 years of experience.
Key Qualifications
- Working knowledge of general accepted accounting principles.
- Excel proficiency.
- Able to maintain discretion when working with highly sensitive and confidential information.
