Job Overview
Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, retention, training of volunteers for Saint Leonard’s Ministries programs.
Responsibilities
- Creates and maintain volunteer opportunities and schedules for multiple program sites.
- Assign volunteers to appropriate roles based on their interests, availability, and expertise
- In collaboration with staff, develops and implements a recruitment, management, retention and recognition plan for volunteers.
- Maintains database of all volunteer contact information ad hours, providing quarterly reports to St. Leonard’s Ministries Leadership.
- Schedule and oversees orientation, information sessions and training for new volunteers and volunteer groups as needed.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all agency programs and activities and collaborates with staff to identify volunteer opportunities.
- Organize recognition events and initiatives to acknowledge and celebrate volunteer contributions.
- Provides information and guidance for volunteer components of donor funding proposals.
- Maintains an appropriate professional demeanor towards coworkers, visits, program participants, and all others.
- Produces and maintains current resource materials for volunteer use.
- Collaborates with staff and volunteer group leaders to ensure that volunteer placement is appropriate and successful.
- All other duties assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Highschool diploma or GED. Must be able to work flexible hours, as well as work some weeknights and weekends. Ability to work independently and managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
