General Description / Position Summary :
The Food on the Move (FOTM) Driver is responsible for the setup and delivery of the Food on the Move (FOTM) and Food Access and Resource Markets (FARMs) programs. These programs provide equitable access to nutritious food through various distribution methods (client choice and drive-through models) across our 26-county service area. The FOTM Driver plays a critical role in ensuring these food distribution programs are executed efficiently and safely.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the St. Louis Area Foodbank's FOTM and FARMs distributions, including logistics and volunteer support.
- Safely operate the 32-ft FOTM trailer and Ford F450 towing vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines during all food distribution activities.
- Provide an excellent experience for neighbors participating in direct distributions.
- Conduct a daily checklist of transportation equipment to ensure it is clean, safe, and ready for travel.
- Assist with loading food for each distribution event.
- Help with post-distribution clean-up, including proper storage of pallets, disposal of trash, and other tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
