Job Summary:
The St. Louis Cardinals are seeking candidates for their Junior Dugout Attendant position. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish. This is a seasonal/part time attendant position that will be primarily responsible for watching children in a specified, private area at Busch Stadium during home games and other events as needed. This is a day-of game position in the Junior Dugout, and attendants must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include, but is not limited to, weekday evenings/nights, weekends and holidays according to the March-October baseball season. Job Duties:
- Care for a specified group of children ranging in age from infants to preteens in a private area at Busch Stadium, and interact with parents/guests to understand and accommodate their and the children's needs
- Ensure a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for the children by feeding them Cardinals and/or parent-provided meals or snacks as needed, diapering babies, straightening toys and room supplies, and light cleaning
- Collaborate with Cardinals staff in the development and execution of education-themed activities and games
Education and Experience Required:
- 2 years of experience with childcare
- Experience creating child-oriented activities for a range of ages
- Ability to care for children of all ages and backgrounds
- Certified in infant, child and adult CPR, or willing to become certified
- Outgoing and able to work well with others
- Highschool Diploma
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Some college education preferred; degree not necessary
- Professional experience in education, nursing, daycare, and/or childcare preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish & English with the ability to communicate and translate clearly and concisely with children and adults in both languages
