What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Officer (Part-Time) - Quick Response Team (SWAT) position at St. Louis Cardinals?
*ONLY CURRENT SWAT-TRAINED AND CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS FROM THE ST. LOUIS REGION ARE ELIGIBLE* Officers must be active commissioned law enforcement officers in good standing with a recognized policy agency and have attended Missouri POST-approved SWAT I and II courses. Documentation must be provided at the time of hiring.
Job Summary:
Quick Response Team (QRT) members will provide tactical response capability to any dynamic event occurring at Busch Stadium and its surrounding footprint during a baseball game or special event. The QRTs are properly trained and equipped resources on site that can effectively address any dynamic event which may include, but is not limited to:
- Active Shooter(s) Situation
- Terrorist Attack
- Large-Scale Security Breaches
- Mass Evacuations
- Natural Disasters
The QRT Officers report to the Tactical Response Coordinator (TRC) and ultimately to the Director of Security.
Job Duties:
- Provide immediate tactical response to any dynamic event at Busch Stadium and its surrounding property as required.
- Be prepared to take immediate and appropriate action in responding to emergencies, situations, and events as needed.
- Support police secondary and contract security in providing a fan-friendly and safe environment for guests and employees at every game and special event by enforcing all stadium safety and security protocols/standards and providing emergency response as needed.
- Perform duties in a respectful, professional and dignified manner, ensuring compliance with established company standards.
- Maintain order on the property, utilizing respect, care, and positive customer service in interactions with guests, visitors, employees, and others.
- Complete all duties as otherwise assigned by the TRC and Director of Security.
Education and Experience Required:
- Graduate of Missouri POST Law Enforcement Academy
- Must be active commissioned law enforcement officer in good standing with a recognized police agency
- Must have completed Missouri POST-approved SWAT I and II courses
- At time of hiring, must provide appropriate documentation showing successful completion of required education/training
