Job Overview
The Project Coordinator – Community and Media Relations will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement and the Public Information Officer to develop, implement, and oversee community engagement and public information initiatives that enhance the office's outreach efforts and its public profile.
Responsibilities
- · Develop and implement community engagement and media strategies to enhance the mission and goals of the Circuit Attorney’s Office. Analyze data to assess the impact of these strategies.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including local civic organizations, law enforcement, and community members, to foster partnerships and enhance engagement.
· Coordinate and manage various community engagement projects, events, and initiatives, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively.
· Post engaging and timely information about the CAO on all social media platforms and the CAO website.
· Attend community events to assist Director of Community Engagement.
· Monitor media daily and post positive news about the CAO on the website.
· Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field preferred. Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, community outreach, journalism or a related field.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and project management software. Experience with InDesign and Publisher is a plus.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Proven experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
· Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
· Familiarity with community engagement, media best practices and a commitment to ethical conduct.
· Knowledge of the criminal justice system and experience working with law enforcement agencies is a plus.
· Must be available to work some weekends, evenings and holidays to attend events.

Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
