The basics of this position:
St. Louis Community College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time faculty position to start in August of 2025. This position will be split between the South County Campus and the Meramec Campus. The candidate must teach at both campuses each fall and spring semester. Teaching during the summer term is optional.
What you'll do:
- Full-time faculty duties and responsibilities include: teaching 15 credit hours per semester; preparing and correcting examinations and other student assignments; maintaining class records; participation in departmental selection of course materials; participation in committees; evaluation and revision of course objectives, curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment; and other duties as assigned.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
Minimum qualifications for this position are a Master's Degree in Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching a range of math classes (developmental math classes, statistics, college algebra, calculus).
Taught at least 6 math classes at a college.
Experience teaching with math homework software (MyLab Math, Web Assign, etc.)
Experience teaching math in a variety of formats (web, hybrid, lecture, etc.)
Experience teaching math using active learning.
