The basics of this position:

Theatre Student Worker would assist the Theatre Staff working to ensure successful theatre productions & theatre building operations, by assisting in building scenery, painting scenery, hanging lighting instruments, cleaning and costuming.

What you'll do:

  • Provides physical labor for all services of a theatre production: set construction, painting, lighting, cleaning, costuming, etc.
    May provide assistance in preparing the theatre for events and assist in running events.
    May assist with audience services.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Must be a current registered full time student at St. Louis Community College prior to applying for a student worker position, and must remain a student during employment. Must exhibit excellent communications skills, and the ability to work collaborativelly with diverse groups. High School graduate or equivalent required.
Ability to use the standard office equipment. Being a theatre major is not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Available to work for at least two hours at a time.
Demonstrate customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
