Customer Service/Retail Team Member – St. Louis Composting
Location: Valley Park, MO (Floating Role)

St. Louis Composting, a leading producer of STA-Certified Compost, Mulch Products, and Soil Blends, is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Customer Service/Retail Team Members. In this role, you'll play a key part in providing excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Greet and assist customers both in-person and over the phone, addressing any questions or concerns to ensure a positive experience.
• Process Transactions: Operate the cash register efficiently, process transactions, and handle payments accurately.
• Maintain a Clean and Welcoming Environment: Keep the storefront organized, clean, and visually appealing to encourage foot traffic and sales.
• Collaborate with the Team: Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and assist with various retail tasks as needed.
• Product Knowledge: Assist customers in finding the right products for their needs and stay informed on current sales, promotions, and product details.

Qualifications:

• Floating Position: This role will primarily be based in Valley Park, MO, but will require travel to our other retail sites in Arnold, MO; Pacific, MO; and Maryland Heights, MO as needed.
• Reliable Transportation: Must have dependable transportation to travel between retail locations. (Note: travel expenses are not reimbursed.)
• Flexible Availability: Ability to work between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, with rotating Saturdays. Sunday availability in spring is required.
• Customer-Centric: Strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a desire to provide top-notch customer service.
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and assist with various store operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times.
• Regularly check and ensure cash counts are accurate throughout the shift.
• Ask for clarification when needed and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
