The Information Services Department is seeking a full time Information Librarian to provide quality information service to meet the information needs of customers and staff, with focus on supporting small business owners and workforce development.
Salary: $61,247.00
Hours:
Mondays 11:45-8:15
Tuesdays-Fridays 8:30-5:00
Saturdays and Sundays as needed
Essential Responsibilities:
Assists Library customers and staff with the use of reference and circulation materials in print and electronic formats to respond to needs in a timely manner.
Responds to all questions to meet customer and staff needs.
Supports the planning, promotion, and development of the Small Business Center.
Prepares and conducts classes and tours to educate staff and customers in the use of reference materials.
Works cooperatively with Information Services Department staff and others to ensure quality information service.
Job Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Library Science
Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers
Must possess excellent communication and organization skills

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
Ability to bend to very low shelves or reach to very high shelves when retrieving Library
materials
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Ability to push a full cart of books or other Library materials
Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to operate various types of Library equipment
Ability to use a pc, word processing and e-mail
