An employee in this class works directly with clients through the entire probation period to create and implement case plans. Duties include: Supervision of clients and monitoring of probation conditions.

* 1. Studies, diagnoses, prepares case plan for supervision of cases.
* 2. Provides case plan services for clients in an institutional or community-based corrections setting.
* 3. Provides supervision and guidance for clients on probation or parole.
* 4. Supervises and directs the activities of a client or group of clients in both institutional and community-based correctional settings.
* 5. Participates in group work and sessions.
* 6. Maintains case records and prepares reports evaluating treatment effectiveness for supervisory review.
* 7. Collects and monitors drug testing; collects DNA per statute.
* 8. Attends training seminars and programs.
* 9. Formulates and supervises pre-trial services contracts.
*10. Formulates parole and release plans for clients and provides supervision accordingly.
*11. Investigates and recommends restitution and victim services to the court on behalf of victims.
*12. Arranges transportation for clients for staffings, placements and commitments.
*13. Attends court hearings and provides testimony.
*14. Demonstrates punctual and reliable attendance in accordance with designated work schedule.
*15. Complies with applicable safety rules, laws and practices; uses proper safety equipment and procedures in all operations.
16. Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least forty (40) credits in behavioral science; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Arrowhead Regional Corrections Executive Director.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
NOTE: Behavioral Science is defined by the Arrowhead Regional Corrections Board as psychology, (includes educational psychology & counseling), social work (includes social development), criminal justice, corrections, criminology, sociology, and social science.
