Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician and Contact Lens Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyewear needs, ensuring they receive high-quality service and products. You will also be responsible for placing contact lens orders with manufacturers, training new patients on insertion and removal of contact lenses, and maintaining trial lens inventory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical principles, attention to detail, and have excellent customer service skills to enhance the patient experience.

Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assess their eyewear needs through consultations.
- Assist in selecting appropriate frames and lenses based on prescriptions.
- Provide guidance on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Perform fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and functionality of eyewear.
- Handle retail sales transactions efficiently, utilizing retail math skills as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records and using computers
- Proficiency in medical billing and coding is preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory processes related to eyewear production is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interactions.
