Under general supervision, the device assistant will place the various devices used in the Arrhythmia Department and handle routine device checks using a tablet. They will also scan / file the appropriate paperwork.
Essential Functions of the Role :
- Place on patients, the Telemetry and Holter monitor devices.
- Explain the function of the device to the patient.
- Answer any questions that the patient may have.
- Hand off and explain how to use the remote blood pressure cuff.
- Have appropriate paperwork signed by the patient at the time of appointment.
- Document / manage inventory of all telemetry and remote patient monitoring devices.
- Clean the returned devices as they come back to the office.
- Manage everyday inventory for your assigned office.
- Complete refill requests via Faxcom and Centricity.
- Complete Arrhythmia callbacks flags / alerts and documents.
- Answer phone calls as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
Work Environment
This position is a clinical position and will report to the office Monday- Friday from 6 : 30 am – 5 : 00 PM.
Physical Requirements
This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
