Psychologist (PreK-8th Grade)
This posting is for a position during the 2025-2026 school year which will start in August 2025.

Minimum Qualifications
- Missouri school psychologist certification or eligibility for certification
- Advanced degree in psychology or closely related field
- Near native fluency in spoken and written English
Nice-to-Haves- Skills and qualities that are a plus but not necessarily a requirement
- Employment experience in K-8th grade setting
- Strong data tracking and interpretation habits
- Solid understanding of academic and behavioral strategies for students with various needs
- Knowledge of best practices when working with language learners
- Fluency in spoken and written French, Mandarin or Spanish
Responsibilities
- Provides appropriate, research-based scaffolds, differentiated instruction, and interventions
- Collaborate on creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans
- Collects and analyzes data, to drive decisions within a Multi-tiered System of Supports
- Providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 academic and behavioral consultation and support for students across grade levels
- Serve as the primary liaison for parents and school staff in special education referrals Administer diagnostic assessments and psychoeducational evaluations Provide crisis intervention, individual and group counseling as needed
- Facilitate school-based benchmarking and progress monitoring procedures.
- Conduct informal assessments such as observations, curriculum-based measurements, functional behavior assessments (FBAs)Develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)Serve as the 504 Coordinator, facilitating initial and annual 504 meetings, acting as the case manager to ensure accommodations are implementedServe on the MTSS or PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) committeeMinimum Requirements

It offers fair and predictable compensation to ensure SLLIS is retaining top talent.
The annual salary for this position is competitive and rages from $44,900 – $71,185. Our salaries are well-above market rate: SLLIS salaries are higher than 97% of public schools in Missouri. Your salary would be based on the highest postsecondary degree you have obtained and the number of years of experience you have. SLLIS also offers the following:

SLLIS has a multi-stage hiring process which includes a phone screening interview, an interview with our Talent Committee and a final interview with our administration team.
