Title : TOSA-MTSS-504 CoordinatorDBM Classification : C43 / Grade 14Department : Special EducationSalary Range : $47,066 - $103,660Employee Group : P.A.T - TeacherPrepared Date : February, 2025Reports to : Director of Student ServicesFTE / FLSA Status : 1.00-10-Months- ExemptSUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe MTSS / 504 Coordinator, will lead the development and implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework that will directly impact student outcomes, ensuring equitable academic and behavioral results for all students. The MTSS / 504 coordinator will partner with assistant principals, supervise staff, evaluate staff and programs, and provide professional development.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and evaluate assigned staff under the direction of district leadership.
- Provide program evaluation through data analysis and monitor evaluation activities.
- Collaborate with district administrators to build a comprehensive support system for academics and behavior across all tiers.
- Lead the development of an MTSS District Handbook and support school-level MTSS teams.
- Teach school counselors to maintain compliant records and documentation for all eligible 504 students.
- Monitor the implementation of the 504-accommodation plan at each site
- Serve as an active District MTSS leadership team member and communicate progress.
- Train staff in using school-wide data collection systems for academic and behavioral monitoring.
- Facilitate professional learning activities for school staff.
- Support the sustainability and expansion of MTSS initiatives district-wide.
- Provide training and technical assistance to maintain and develop support under the MTSS framework.
- Support school counselors and school social workers in scheduling student 504 plans
- Monitor district databases for tracking student data on academics, behavior, attendance, and school climate.
- Develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with diverse communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQ IA groups.
- Review data to guide MTSS decision-making, complete fidelity checks, and inform district leadership.
- Participate in regional, state, and national MTSS / PBIS conferences.
- And other duties, 10 additional days over the summer for reporting and training.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Knowledge of subject material, concepts and issues related to grade / subject of assignment.
- Understanding of basic office equipment and software used by the district in maintaining records and files (i.e. word processing software, student record databases).
- Knowledge of instructional technologies and software, equipment, tools and devices used presenting instruction, documenting assessments, student progress or other classroom administrative requirements of the district.
- Skilled in planning and developing lesson plans consistent with approved program curriculum.
- Skilled in presenting complex materials and concepts in an understandable and grade appropriate manner.
- Skilled in developing assessment tools, assessing and evaluating student performance and needs.
- Skilled in leading group processes / discussions, utilizing a variety of instruction aids and technologies.
- Ability to write reports, lesson plans, learning objectives, tests, and assists in writing and reviewing curriculum using and applying professional / technical concepts, principles and terminology.
- Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with parents, students, staff and other educational professionals over instructional needs, concerns or problems of the student and district.
