In This Role You Will
No prior experience or training, however, previous library volunteer experience is a plus.

16 hours per week; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday
About Machacek Library
Located in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood, the unique Machacek Library is waiting for you. Constructed in the Brutalist architectural style in 1974, this distinctive building is recessed into a high slope and is easy to miss from nearby Watson Avenue. But nestled on Scanlan Avenue, with easy access to numerous delicious eateries, a convenient bus stop, and returning customers who will know you by name, this is a small neighborhood branch that you won’t want to miss.

In This Role You Will
- Shelve and straighten Library materials
- Maintain assigned sections through regular shelf-reading and shifting.
- Assist in processing incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Monitor book drop area for material returns.
- Retrieve materials as assigned.
- Able to arrange items in a certain order according to a specific set of rules.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to learn Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
No prior experience or training, however, previous library volunteer experience is a plus.

- Competitive salary range starting at $14 per hour
